in order to do和so as to do是同意义词组，都表示“为了做……”，不同之处是so as to do不能用在句首。如：
We got up early in order to / so sa to catch the first bus. 我们早起了床为了去赶头班车。
In order to learn more knowledge， he went abroad for further study. 为了学习更多知识，他出国留学了。
