1985年，首次获得格莱美奖最佳乐器独奏奖（无交响乐团）。1991年，哈佛大学授予他荣誉博士学位。1998年，《马友友的巴赫灵感》问世。1999年，与巴伦波因合作，和中东音乐家们组成的“中东青年管弦乐团”一起在德国威玛演出，同年获得顾尔德奖。
3、吴彤，1971年9月21日出生于北京，毕业于中央音乐学院， 中国内地民乐男演奏家、歌手，国家一级演员。
1992年组建中国第一支学院派摇滚乐队轮回乐队。2010年8月推出专辑《我一直听见自己的笙音》，凭借《春秋配》、《塔玲珑》分别荣获2011年台湾传统暨艺术音乐金曲奖最佳作词人与最佳编曲人两项大奖。
2010年2月凭借《快乐》同马友友等人一同获得第52届格莱美最佳跨界古典专辑奖，2011年荣获金号奖“2011年中国最具国际影响力跨界歌手奖”，2012获得华美协进社年度国际音乐家大奖。
4、央金拉姆，1973年8月10日出生于中国甘肃天祝，藏族心灵音乐家、现代藏族女禅师、作家、央金歌舞法创始人，她是藏民唐朝藏王松赞干布留下来的后裔，她的父母曾经是藏族的贵族。2011年，她参与演唱的专辑《上山之旅》获得美国第53届格莱美新世纪音乐专辑奖，从而成为第一位获得格莱美音乐奖的中国籍音乐家。
